About Euro Sports Compact
In the Euro Sports Compact Drag Series at Santa Pod Raceway the best tuned cars from European manufactures go head to head in a battle to find our continents king. Racers compete for the championship as well as the individual event wins at The Fast Show, Performance Tuning & Modified Show and Ultimate Street Car.
Euro Sports Compact is for European cars with European bodies and engines from 4 to 6 cylinders, with open tyre choice. Cars typicaly run 10 to 12 second quarter miles at 130mph plus. Further details on the Rules & How to Enter page.
2010 will be the second year that ESC has run as a championship after Andy Waite took the title in 2009, there were also two ESC shootouts in 2008 with The PTM Show win going to James Hodson and Andy Waite taking the USC win. 2008 reports can be found at www.ptmshow.co.uk/european.php and www.ultimatestreetcar.co.uk/eurosports.php.

The Competitors
The competitors that entered Euro Sports Compact in 2009 are listed on the 2009 Racers page.
Race numbers for the season will be issued and must be displayed clearly on the rear window screen. Racers will win the right to hold a top 10 number in the following season depending on where they finish in the championship.
A technical inspection will take place prior to a racers first run on the race track. The technical inspectors will fail cars if they believe that there is a safety issue.
All drivers must show a valid driving licence when signing on at each round before they can compete.
